Terralpina resulted from Jean Marc and Christine’s will to combine their mountain skills and qualities.
Jean Marc DELLA VOLPE
As a mountain oriented person by nature, Jean Marc got introduced to mountain sports and activities during his early childhood, and quickly became a complete mountain sportsperson. He later took his Ski Patrol and Mountain Leader Certificate in 1986. As a passionate and expert skier, he has always been seeking for new adventures, and familiarized himself with mountaineering during expeditions to South America and Africa. He knows the Alps’ geography and history like the back of his hand, and loves sharing his knowledge with others. He describes summits and tells about historical mountain expeditions with genuine sincerity and humour. A father of 2 children, he lives in Vallorcine with his family, half-way between Chamonix and the Swiss Valais region.
Christine FERRIEU
Christine started her professional experience as a teacher and modern dance performer. In 1992, new adventurous perspectives came forward into her life. She moved to Chamonix where she discovered rock climbing, a graceful "dancing"approach to the world of verticality. Professionally inspired, Christine took her mountain leader Certificate in 2000. With a predilection for faraway destinations, she has guided groups to Northern India, Nepal and Morocco. A perfect trip organizer, she is a very attentive and devoted person, always keen to share her love of the mountains. She has one child and has lived in Chamonix since 1992.
